Mother's Day Cakes

MN Thunders, PHWA and Mother's Day Weekend

Wednesday, May 16, 2007

To kick off the month of May, Cakes By Fhoua has been super busy! As a partner of the MN Thunders and Lightenings, MN's professional soccer teams, we provide them with their private birthday party cakes!

Cakes By Fhoua is also a proud member of the Professional Hmong Women's Association (PHWA). The group is definitely full of wonderful, intelligent, and inspiring professional women! This month was our month to host! It was very exciting and the women were so supportive! Our next meeting is scheduled for June 14th. Our meetings are usually the 2nd Thursday of every month from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Hmong women are all invited! Please visit their website for more information: www.superhmongwomen.org.

Mother's Day weekend as a really good rush! Sheesh! It feels like we'll never really get the opportunity to fully recover huh! Once more, we'll never complain! It's very overwhelming, but a wonderful overwhelming! It's an AWESOME feeling to know that people appreciate what we do! We are truly so grateful for the continual support.

THANK YOU!!!

12th Hmong National Conference was a BIG Success for Cakes By Fhoua!

Monday, April 30, 2007

Cakes By Fhoua had such a GREAT time at the Hmong National Conference in Detriot, MI! This year was all about Hmong Footprints: Cultivating a Vibrant Hmong Culture... I'm going to have to say, Cakes By Fhoua definitely did that!

Thank you so much to all of those who attended our workshops! It would not have been such a success without the interest and support of you!

I apologize for taking so long to update our blog, but we have been so busy catching up! It's a very, very busy season for us right now as Wedding Season is picking up at full speed! We've had a wedding cake every single weekend since we have been back! Definitely NOT going to complain! The RUSH has been so refreshing! Thank you to all of the BRIDES and BRIDES-to-be!

I wish we had more time, because then I would be able to put up a lot more pictures! But enjoy the ones that are up!

Sincerely,

Cakes By Fhoua

Below, I've attached the new logo for Cakes By Fhoua.

Preserving the Hmong Culture Through the Art of Baking

Presented by Cakes by Fhoua

Can you turn an idea into an “Edible Reality”?  Well, we can!  Cakes by Fhoua is one of the first Hmong bakeries you will find within the United States with a strong passion for baking, and preserving the Hmong culture.  When you combine the two, you’ve got an “Edible Reality”!  This workshop is intended for anyone and everyone interested in the untapped industry of baking within the Hmong community.  The workshop goals are to preserve the Hmong culture and art in the form of baking, introduce the untapped industry of bakeries to the community, and lastly, to inspire young Hmong women to pursue their goals.  In this workshop, participants will be informed of this rising industry, inspired to pursue various goals, and have an opportunity to see a live cake decorating demonstration.
